THE DESIGN

The creative possibilities of Metal Clay are so exciting to me, I particularly enjoy working in silver, bronze and 24k keum boo gold.

 

I am drawn to making elements made from a mosaic of applied pieces to create texture and pattern.

 

Silver clay is an incredible material that turns to hallmarkable fine silver when fired. I love to combine the new, exciting sculptural and textural possibilities of metal clay with the age old craft of silversmithing. 

EXPERIENCE

I have won various prizes and awards and my jewellery has appeared twice in the AMCAW (metal clay worldwide) calendar of outstanding work.

I am also a Senior Art Clay instructor with a PGCE and MA in education and mentoring and teach regular workshops in the local area as well as writing online tutorials.

 

I have Diplomas 1, 2 and 3 in Silver Clay and am currently studying for a Diploma in traditional silversmithing.
